An appreciative thank you to Nhu Phan - Student and Peace Pandemic liaison at the University of Notre Dame - and Eunice Ikene - graduate from the University of Notre Dame for their fundraising efforts and for spearheading Peace Pandemic's entry in the 2011-2012 Notre Dame Business Plan Competition.


A huge shoutout to Anita Cirillo - Simon Fraser University student, international & national elite trampolinist, and Vancouver blogger - and Carolina Cirillo - international & national elite trampolinist for their amazing work at the Peace Pandemic fundraiser in Vancouver this year.

Peace Pandemic Fundraiser: SUCCESS!

Hi everyone!

Wow, what an amazing, amazing day we had on Saturday at the very last Whitecaps FC game of the season!

The great event kicked off with Jeb receiving the player award for the Whitecaps Foundation Humanitarian of the Year award!

Congratulations on the award and a great season Jeb!

Behind the scenes, Peace Pandemic had the opportunity to hold a silent auction at the game to raise funds for Jeb's upcoming trip to India in December!

I personally want to thank Anita and Carolina for coming out to help me (you girls rock!) as well as Sandy Hancock and the Whitecaps Foundation for all of her help! Thank you all for your hard work!

Our hot ticket item of the day (among other great items including game worn jerseys!) was a Whitecaps FC soccer ball signed by everyone on the team, and, upon request from our highest bidder, we were lucky enough to have the great Bob Lenarduzzi sign the ball as well!

Whose signature is that??!

So many wonderful people stopped by the table to chat, make donations, and bid on the wonderful items we had for auction!

We thank every single one of you for your contributions, support and interest!

A Peace Pandemic Fundraiser!

Hi everybody!

Tomorrow is the very last Whitecaps FC game of the season and Peace Pandemic will be out in full force!

We will have a table set up in Section 209 and we will be holding a silent auction as well as accepting cash/cheque donations for Jeb's upcoming Peace Pandemic trip to India in December.

The Power of Sport: In the community

 Here's a look at Jeb with the kids from the Athletic India Football Club in Abbotsford, B.C.
The AIFC strives to provide essential soccer skills to youth and adults of the Indo-Canadian community while promoting health, fitness, and national heritage.

Jeb had the opportunity to spend time with the kids in the community - he gave them tips and pointers on their game and then took the chance to speak to them about Peace Pandemic.

The AIFC set up a club-wide donation of soccer equipment to contribute to other children in New Delhi; Jeb spoke to the club about leadership and peace, along with the important and significant role they are playing to help children on the other side of the world!

Jeb and Peace Pandemic want to extend a huge THANK YOU to Ajit Sekhon and the Athletic India Football Club!

Give a little bit

Check out Jeb Brovsky, a few of his teammates from the Whitecaps FC (and even a special appearance from 2010 Olympic Gold medallist, Ashleigh McIvor!) at the send off for players representing Canada at the 2011 Homeless World Cup of soccer in Paris.

The women and men were beyond appreciative of the support from Jeb and the Whitecaps FC players who found it just as inspiring to play with the homeless and learn and build a relationship with them.

Small things with great love

This past week Jeb made a trip to Vancouver's Downtown Eastside to scrimmage with players from the Vancouver Street Soccer League. Joined by a few Whitecaps FC teammates Shea Salinas, Jonathan Leathers, and Bilal Duckett, Jeb had the opportunity to meet and play with some of the VSSL players heading to the 2011 Homeless World Cup this month.

The VSSL provides the homeless, the addicted, and others deemed at risk with a chance to use soccer as a vehicle for inspiration and empowerment.
